Guest guest
Now Abbys was confirmed by a scope but I think that Dr.Haupert was right on track with the reflux. Like I said as long as I monitor her dairy its ok. She gets to much dairy so gets a ear infection. Dr.Madgy said that the reflux shoots up into her sinus cavities which inturn causes the ear problems. He said that reflux doesnt always mean "Heartburn" or vomiting. Actually he didnt think that Abby even notices the reflux. Thats what I was told and I cant explain it that well, but it is true. If you get a chance I would get a second opinion. I love Dr.Haupert however Abby seems very drawn to Dr.Madgy-he is a great guy and gets right down on the kids level. Abby would talk to him for hours if let her. LOL Pennie Abby's Mom
Guest guest
: Have you tried Vance's Darifree? It's a Potato based powder that you mix with water and it tastes similar to milk. It is high in Calcium and vitamin enriched (A, B-12, C, D,K, E, Biotin) I buy it at Holiday Marker in Royal Oak. $8.99 for 21 oz. It makes a total of 6 quarts. Vance's website is www.vancesfoods.com or 1-. It is gf, cf, and soy free!! If your son likes milk products, this may be a good way to get some nutrition in him. Even though it is not as loaded up with all the extra calories and vitamins as Pediasure, it may help some as part of his daily diet.. Deb wrote: Hi! I need help!!! Guest guest
Maybe it would be a good idea to give that to him, at least until you can get a solution. I wish I had the answer for you. My daughter will not touch anything that tastes like milk. She use to get violently ill (vomiting and gagging) from formula. And, me with my stupid self, I kept taking her to the doctor and this doctor kept saying, "You have to find a formula that she likes." The problem was her system could not take the milk. We put it in her baby cereal and that's how we got her to take the milk. I hate that we did it, but I was worried about her because she had lost so much weight at one time. Today, she won't even touch the soy milk. Take Care, Angelia Whey protein Hi!I need help!!! Does anyone know if Whey Protein from Milk has casein in it??? Guest guest
Is there someone else who can help you pay? It's not that expensive. You can do a trial of the powder for $3.00. No, they never upset her tummy. Ever since she's been gluten and casein free, her stomach has been terrific. Guest guest
Is there someone else who can help you pay? It's not that expensive. You can do a trial of the powder for $3.00. No, they never upset her tummy. Ever since she's been gluten and casein free, her stomach has been terrific. Now we alternate between Dari free and Pacific Almond Milk (Vanilla Flavor is gluten free) and he loves both! >From: Coviak >Reply-To: EverydayMiraclesAutism >To: EverydayMiraclesAutism >Subject: Re: Whey protein >Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 21:34:28 -0400 > >: Have you tried Vance's Darifree? Guest guest
My son has finally started gaining weight and I attribute it to the GFCF diet. I used to be able to see all of the ribs in his back. His appetite is directly proportionate to how "clean" his diet is. My son does even better on the yeast free diet and he amazingly eats a ton of GFCF foods. I think its because he finally doesn't feel sick. Give it a try. It's free. Whey protein Hi!I need help!!! Does anyone know if Whey Protein from Milk has casein in it??? My son won't seat any solids or babyfood anymore and the pediasure makes him crazy! There is a suppliment called Peptomen Junior that doesn't list casein but does list Whey protein in it.Help! The doc wants to write the script today!!!Thanks!!!!!!!!!!lynnmgeorge@... wrote: Hi, Angelia, Sandi and - and all others who go over and beyond for their children:I just want to commend you all for everything you do for your children. There is a lot of work behind planning, promoting and carrying out a fundraiser, just as there is in working from home to earn extra money to help get the therapy you want for your children. It is too bad that the cause of autism is still officially and poitically unknown, otherwise we may have already had the funds to help get the therapies so desperately needed for all of our children without having to sacrifice a new pair of shoes, a vacation or even a simple night out on the town.I am very proud to be a part of a support group with such caring and sharing people! Even though we don't talk about it openly, I am sure a lot of us feel the money-crunch and are spending a lot of what used to be play-dough to get care for our children. Even the wealthiest (and it's not me) must feel the crunch.I hope you all do very well in your endeavors!Lynnangiefairreed wrote: HI ALL,I don't know if this is allowed, but here goes. I need some help: I would like Kami to start in The Early Intervention Center, but since I am currently unemployed I started a home-based business(about a couple weeks ago), in order to pay for her to go. So far, I'm doing ok. I received my first check in the mail yesterday. But, what I would like to ask everyone in Everyday Miracles is if they would try the phone service (which is what my business entails), so that I can get my daughter the therapy she needs. I would surely appreciate it very much. Call me and I will give you all the information. I hope I don't get kicked out of the group for this, but I figured I'd try anyway because I love my child (as we all love our children) and want to do all that we can for them. My number is (248)334-8339.Thank you in advance,Angelia Support Everyday Miracles by shopping online at IGIVE.COM, where a portion of every purchase is donated to this support network. Proceeds received will be used for a variety of functions, such as educational activities, therapy, famiy outings, etc. http://www.igive.com/EDM
