Guest guest
Hi LInda Your dad was right about the bathrooms here, they are GOOD. The funniest part of the bathrooms here, is, the bathroom is exactly that, a place to go take a bath or shower. In 90% of them there is no toilet. there is a separate room for the toilet. This has its advantages. Germany in a lot of ways is way ahead of the states. Education is one of them. So many kids in school in America when they graduate, cannot even read on 6th grade level, this is apalling. Schools go year round in Gemrany, and the classes are much harder, and they know more about America than most Americans do. I find this funny. Medical things is one that they are way behind on though. I had bronchitis though at the time did no knowhat it was, but I had never been so sick in my life, and I had to take a breathing treatment, in the states, you have the disposable breathing attachment, here they still use the one where they have to sterilize it.......they have a sheet on the beds int eh dr office, instead of paper and I wonder if they change it after use. The drs, push all natural meds first, plant meds, and only give antibiotics if you are near to die. Now dental here is hands above the states. So wiht different things, Germany is ahead in some and behind in others. Elevators, I am nto sure what the problem is , but very few places have them. The shoping centers have conveyor belts to stand on to go up or down (not escalators) , some have escalators, and some have elevators. But for businesses and all, apartment buildings, and such, if you find a elevator you are lucky. My second apartent here, I had to climb three flights of stairs, with my back injury, that got real old. Someone had mentioned tha tGermany does nto do much imports, I wanted to comment that they do import autos, and France is where they do most of the importing of cars from. We drive a French car. Its the only thing (plus pizza) that I like about France. (grin) When you move to an apartment or house here, you have to bring your own sink , cabinets, stove, fridge etc for the kitchen, your own cabinets and closets for the rest of the house too. I find that funny. Sometimes, you might find one where het kitchn is installed, but this is rare. Kitt
Guest guest
I wanted to share with you all something wonderful that happened to me last night. I was on the Internet game site known as playsite, they have several card games and board games, its a fun place, and takes my mind off the pain for a while......some months ago, a young man I met on there, he is from Singapore, and we played together a lot, and because you can also chat o there, we got to know each other. He asked me one time if I believed in God. I thought what a strange question from someone in Singapore, but I told him , yes, God lives i my heart. He then told me he had just gotten saved. I was so proud of this young man. He said his parents were very much against him in this, and would not go to his baptism. We lost touch as I had not been able to play much til recently, and last night he was on, and after we played a game, he asked me to let him pray for me. He said such a sweet prayer and he really touched my heart, and I just ahd to share that with someone......Kitt
Guest guest
, I was plauged with WC people too, for five years, they followed me, talked to my friends and neighbors, spied on me......I had hurt my back at work, nad the dr told me I would be disabled because of it, he could nto fix it. Took me five years, but I got my settlement from the insurance co., let them follow and spy, you will win out, it just might take a while. I hope you have a good lawyer. Mine was wonderful. So much so that when I got my settlement, he only took 10 percent for his fee, he was entitled to and I signed a paper giving him 20 percent. Guest guest
Carolyn, I agree with you. I took my cane with me, have nto been able to use it much cause my hands were in such bad shape, but took it that day, and if I had not had it, I would not havemade it up or down those stairs. I seen a door by the stairs and thought it was an elevator, it was not, it was a bathroom. (grin) Kitt
Guest guest
Dear Kitt, I understand how this man feels. When I was baptized last June, the only one there from my family was my brother and his wife. No one else understood how important that day was to me. It was hard, but I was glad that I had a few close friends there with me to celebrate. That doesn't stop me, though, from living a life that honors God, and having a relationship with Him. I hope and pray that someday my family will all know and accept God's grace, and be saved. Thanks for sharing that story with us, Kitt! It's amazing how God can work through the Internet!! Fondly, Anne in IL

Guest guest
Oh Kitt, what a nice friend to have, one who wanted to pray for you . I hope that the doctor prescribes just the right medications to make you feel better. Maybe after you feel physically better, you will be more able to cope with living in a foreign land. We wish you well. ~ Esther & Carol ~ ----- Original Message ----- From: <kitt0213@...> < onelist> Sent: Friday, March 31, 2000 8:42 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Digest Number 950 > I wanted to share with you all something wonderful that happened to me last > night. Guest guest
Cate, This soap may be new in your store, but it's been used for at least 40 years in Mexico (and I'm not telling my age, LOL). It is the soap my mother used to handwash our laundry when I was a child living there and we didn't have a washing machine. Zote is for delicates, Lirio (another laundry soap which is brown/tan in color) is used for heavier cleaning as well as scrubbing floors and walls. As a matter of fact, I have several bars of each in my laundry room right now. I sometimes grate them up, mix with borax and washing soda and use in my washing machine. They work great. HTH Irma >>Just got something very new at the store for washing delicate laundry. It is called ZOTE soap. A very very large bar of soap that claims to be specifically for laundry .. Does anyone know of this soap.? I am guessing whatever is in it must not have a lasting residue because it created very little lather and rinsed out well. The paper states : Pink laundry soap with a minimum fatty acid content of 66%. TIA Cate>>

Just having a disability itself is not enough to qualify for the accommodations. So, a student with a disability that is not experiencing adverse effects on their academic progress because of that disability is a regular ed student. Guest guest
Dear Lynn, For quite a number of years I have sent tapes of our experiences and the experiences of others with FlaxSeed Oil in fighting cancer as we and they have used it. It is not authentic or a recmmendation or advice. It is simply testimonies. I have sent them on request and have not charged anything. A cousin of mine who lost his wife to cancer around ten years ago has financed the situation. We have not charged lest someone thnk we were in it to make money. Our only motive is a deep hatred of seeing people die of cancer when it isn't necessary. I was rather jubilant at the spectacular result in the case of the situation of which I posted. Granted, this man is not yet well, but the response was extraordinary. I will not hesitate to send tapes as long as the money I have for that purpose holds out. It is getting a little close to the end but I still can. Send me your mailing address if you wish it and I will comply as long as I can. However, a website which has a transcript of the tape and a little more is at www.beckwithfamily.com. It is information and testimonial only and not a recommendation for treatment. Feel free to use it any way you wish. Cliff Re: Digest Number 950 > What tapes are you referring to? Sorry to come in late?

I just started the BFL challenge on Monday. I weigh 177. I am going to do two challenges. I wan't to be at my goal weight of 140 by August 1st. I have the same problem with my husband. I had a hard time just trying to get him to take my before Pictures. He thinks that I am trying to get thin so I can look good to other men. He doesn't realize how good our lives would be if I felt good about myself. So I don't let him stand in my way. He will see when I am finished. Since he is home for dinner. I make a dinner that I can have as well has him. I just do my portions. I also exercise at home because he doesn't want me going to a gym so the other men can look at me. He did give me permission to go to an all womens gym but the only one around here is pretty far away plus if I were to go at night which is what I would have to do since he has the car during the day there would be a problem with me not being home for him and the children. So I have a bunch of workout tapes and some free weights and I do my workouts before he gets home. So it would seem to him that this is not interferring in his life. If you would like a support buddy just let me know. Like I said also this is a good support group. MiistiiRose

So, I still had it three times a week in addition to my free day where I really did it up. Maybe I would have done better my first challenge if I had cut it, but I really really need it. What do you guys think of pork loin sirloin roast? They had it for 89 cents a pound today and cut into steaks. Can I eat it or do I have to save it for a free day?
