Hi everyone--just received a call from Kid Kingdom, and they told me that yes, they are permenantly closed. Big Bummer!

Closing of Canton, MI Kid Kingdom

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know why the Kid Kingdom in Canton is now closed? We were just at the Chinese Buffet, which is in the same plaza as the Canton Kid Kingdom, and I saw there was a "sorry" sign on the door, and that Kid Kingdom was no longer open for business.

The last time we were in there, they were selling summer passes, so we were very surprised. Kid Kingdom was so much better for us than the Canton Chuck E. Cheese because it wasn't as crowded or loud, and the climbing equipment was awesome! Also, I know the students from Burger went to Kid Kingdom all the time, and they must be very disappointed.

Finally, does anyone know of any other Kid Kingdoms in the Metro Detroit area, and where they are at, and does anyone know if Kid kingdom has a website? I tried to yahoo one, but got nothing.

If they are all closed down, that will be a true bummer for --we have shared so much there with him, I actually was very sad and crying, because it was such a great place to "PLAY" with a child who has autism. It was so great to have in the winter because it was such a huge indoor park, compared to the crappy tunnels at Pizza Rat--AKA Chuck E. Cheese. Kid Kingdom was also better for older kids, although I do visit the over-crowded and loud Chuck E. Cheese, often, but it is such a "milk and cookies" crowd (young kids without special needs and yuppie parents kind of joint, at least here in Canton).

I know there's Caesar Land in Westland, but it is completely lame--we walked in the door, turned around, and walked out and headed back to Canton's Pizza Rat, and there is Jeepers, which is pretty cool in Wonderland and Great Lakes Crossing. Are there any other cool places that I don't know of, like Kid Kingdom, that are out there?
