Guest guest
I am not endorsing this program as a representative from EDM, just passing along the info as an FYI... Subject: EIC Announces Open Enrollment for Summer Transition ProgramThe Early Intervention Center is opening up enrollment to the public for a summer program for children with autism who are planning on attending a regular education pre-school or kindergarten this fall. The program is called Conditioned Caterpillers and will run Monday - Friday for a half day. Hosfield, a licensed speech pathologist and former EIC one-on-one technician will be running this program with Grumbine (the clinical director of the Early Birds program at EIC) acting as overall supervisor. This is a transition program created to enable children to successfully move to typical group instruction environments. Skills to be addressed are as follows: attending to an instructor in a gorup environment, following directions within a group environment, building academic skills, utilizing fine motor, increasing socialization, following classroom routines, and shaping appropriate classroom behavior. If you are interested in finding out more, and/or would like an application, please contact Hosfield at ext. 204. Guest guest
Yes, Pennie's leaving is an unfortunate loss for this group. She is diligently involved in the community and works tirelessly for all children, not just her own. Opposing viewpoints can be beneficial to the direction and growth of a group.
