Guest guest
Hi - I have afib and my doctor has me on Warfarin 5 mg per day. Since I have been on Warfari I have been very chilly. Has anyone else had this reaction. Thanks. Darlene
Guest guest
Darlene, I am either freezing from the Coumadin or having hot flashes from the Tiztia and Rythmol - just switched to Flecainide and am enjoying a whole new set of side effects. Do you have ear ringing? I have it most of the time - the doctors say it is not the meds -- but it started when I started the medicine so . . . . .. Guest guest
freezing is more likely a result from the drugs other than coumadin. Anything that lowers your pulse or BP has the ability to make you cold. Guest guest
Did your doctor put you on anything else? Warfarin is not likely the culprit for making you cold.. more likely it's something else.. something to slow your heart rate, or lower your BP. darljl2002 wrote: Hi - I have afib and my doctor has me on Warfarin 5 mg per day. It just keeps it from forming clots. A hypothyroid condition certainly could make you cold sensitive, however. If you're taking Amiodarone it could affect your thyroid and metabolism. What other prescriptives are you taking? Gordon
Guest guest
Beta Blockers like Toprol. Atenol, etc-reduce the amount of blood flowing to the extremeties- this often causes extremely cold hands- I am on Toprol and have had cold hands and feet since I started the Toprol- Jerry

Guest guest
" Beta Blockers like Toprol. My hands and feet were always freezing. Recently, I switched to Tykosin. I am delighted to now have warm hands and feet. Lori
