Guest guest
Perhaps this website might provide a good option since you are overseas: www.asemt.com/ It has information and the research behind their particular helmet therapy for plagiocephaly. With their helmet, your baby will not need to go through the casting process and frequent fittings. Their helmet is fitted less frequently and I think you are able to shape it as needed. That scared me when I read it. I would be extremely nervous about that, and if it would even work properly, but I have not researched their helmet much at all. One other downside is that it only comes in blue or pink, although you can add decorative stickers to cuten it up a bit. (Yes, I know "cuten" is not a word, but you get the idea.) The positives are that you would probably be able to stay with your husband in Japan most of the time rather than needing to stay in the U.S. throughout your baby's treatment. --But of course we all want the very best treatment possible for our little ones. They are the world to us. Do let us know what you're thinking, what you're trying, and how it's going for you. Best of luck! (still untreated plagio baby, AHHHH!) Everyone is raving about the all-new beta.
Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I checked and there are no listed providers in Japan or orthotists listed in Hawaii. Oh well. The search goes on! > > Perhaps this website might provide a good option since you are overseas: www.asemt.com/ > It has information and the research behind their particular helmet therapy for plagiocephaly.
