First the happy stuff....Happy birthday...Your'e still my hero and I

wanna be just like you when I grow up.

Sorry to hear about your kitty. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have

two adorable cats, Lucy and Mickey and two hounds, Jake and Duncan.

They are my faithful companions and I would miss them dearly if they

were to pass on. Funny how these little guys grow so much on ya.

I'm glad to hear that you are doing OK these days. We miss hearing

from you on the site. How's the marathon training coming along ? it

wonlt be long now before race day.

Regards,

Gordy

Gordy! You're the hero!

Man, I've missed you (and all the other great folks here).

Marathon training is fantastic. Last Tuesday I ran from Pier 39 up

Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower. It was beautiful beyond belief. And,

if you can believe it, I felt great during and after the run.

This Saturday, my pace group and I will run 5 miles in Golden Gate

park--no problem, just a " recovery " run. Next Saturday, we'll run 12

miles--no problem, just a " distance/endurance " run. Listen to me!

I'm a runner! OMG, I can't believe it.

Two years ago today, I was on my back getting my innards rearranged.

Yet here I stand two years later with heart so full I can't explain,

seeking faith and speaking words I never thought I say. There really

can be miracles, if you believe. Though hope is frail, it's hard to

kill. Who knows what miracles you can achieve? When you believe,

some how you will. You will when you believe. (I couldn't help

quoting from " The Prince of Egypt. " )

Thanks for your kind words.

Oh Francisco...I think I'd fall apart if my little Smudge were to pass on. I know it is likely to happen at some point, but man oh man...it is going to kill me.

She sounds like such a sweet little baby cat. And bully for her...she kept her girlish figure. big hug to you and Zach and your other little kitty children. I know it will be a big loss.

And it is somehow symbolic, too, I imagine. One more piece of the Francisco/Zach puzzle that has gone missing. That can be quite painful...it's like seeing a bit more the "us" fade away. I know that has to hurt.

On a happier note, Happy Birthday my dear. Not a fun way to celebrate, I imagine. But, your kitty, just like you, shed the body that was holding her captive...and now she is free. Just like you are, now that you've left your former body behind.

Big kisses to you. I don't know if you heard (or caught up) enough to know that I'm scheduled for surgery on Wednesday.

New caveat: apparently my urine had blood and bacteria (just a bit in it)...and now I have to retest to see if they need to put me on antiobiotics before the surgery. Oy. Never ends, does it?

Anyway, welcome back..and welcome to town. don't forget, I live in the Marina. I'd love to meet you someday for decaf coffee...let me know.

Glad you are enjoying the running. Don't forget...I'm joining you and next year!
