Guest guest
Thanks for your response. I feel fine during afig but it last 30-50 hours at a time 130-135 heart rate. I had a tia on Halloween so that concerned them. it is an av node ablation. I am 65 and until last august walked two miles every day and cycled 30 min, now i do nothing but wait for the next attack which comes every 3-4 days. Have tried rythmol and amiodrone to no sucess. Torpol XL seems to help but not much. > >Reply-To: AFIBsupport >To: AFIBsupport >Subject: Re: New to all this >Date: Fri, 25 Nov 2005 01:30:09 -0000 > > > >Bat, > >Can you give us a little more information, such as, how old you are >and how long you have been experiencing afib/flutter episodes? > >I am in no way a medical professional, but it sounds to me as if your >doctors might be recommending what we call an AV node ablation. >Please ask your doctors if they intend to ablate your AV node and put >you on a pacemaker, on which you will be dependent for your heart's >regular contractions, for life. > >How are you feeling?
