Hi,

Yesterday, we had Chinese food for the first time in 8 months. My

daughter has been asking and asking for it, so I told her that once I

was at this weight, we would go for a treat. I called ahead to

Chinese restaurants and purposely picked out a Chinese restaurant

that has brown rice and that would make egg fu yung without deep

frying it and with the sauce on the side. It's just an omelet, so

it's okay to eat. Wouldn't you know that we get to it, and it's not

open! Of all the things I asked, I didn't think to ask if they were

open for lunch!

So, we had to go to another nearby restaurant, and when we get there,

we find out they don't even have egg fu yung on the menu. I got beef

broccoli. It was so sugary, I couldn't stand it. I gained weight from

it, between the sugar and the sodium. Guess I have to drink a lot of

water today. I didn't even eat the rice, the noodles or the egg

rolls. We were stuck and couldn't take the time to drive around to

find a different restaurant in a different town, as we had already

bought movie tickets and had to get there on time. We went to see

Walk the Line, the movie about ny Cash.

I am bringing some of my own food to my sister's on Thanksgiving. I'm

bringing twice baked faux potatoes made with cauliflower in place of

potatoes, brown rice stuffing and lowfat sugarfree pumpkin

cheesecake. That way, I can have stuff that I can eat besides turkey.
