Hi ,

There is a great file in the files section under Torticollis Help

title Torticollis Stretching. It has a lot of different stretches

and strengthening exercises.

Plagiocephaly/files/Torticollis%

Not being able to look as far one direction as the other is a

definite sign of torticollis. The doctors kept telling me my son

was fine since his tort was so minor, but he wound up with a whole

host of other issues (facial scoliosis, odd crawling, delayed

walking, etc.) because of the untreated tort. In my son's case he

never had much of a tilt (he would hike up his right shoulder

instead) and he could look about 70% to the left vs. 90+% to the

right. If you suspect tort, demand a referral to a pediatric

physical therapist or other specialist. My son didn't have any PT

until he was 12 months old and now we're having to work hard to help

him unlearn all his bad habits. Since he was so minor I feel PT

started early could have avoided a lot of issues. Good luck!
