Guest guest
I think it is okay to allow your son to sleep on the flat spot if he desires to do so. Madison slept on her flat spot also when she first got her helmet, but shortly after she started sleeping on her side or stomach. In my opinion I think it is fine. , NY Madison 10 months - banded 11/15/06Season Brown <fuzzypinkkitten@...> wrote: I have a question. Guest guest
Once your child has his band on it doesn't matter what position he sleeps in. The band will prevent his head from getting flatter. Molly California Nicolas, 14 months, tort & plagio, STARband 4/25/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 3.75 , 7 Sleeping with Helmet I have a question. Guest guest
Hi, my dd got her band last year at 5 mo old. Before her band we put her to sleep in a light weight one pieces with feet (either short or longsleeve, but full legs and covered feet. While in her and we put her in a onsie (short sleeve tshirt type thing that snaps at the crotch). Hopefully you'll quickly find what works for you. -christine sydney 20 mo starband grad > > Hello, > > My 5 months old got his helmet yesterday. Guest guest
Hi there, my son has just started wearing a corrective helmet, and has adjusted to except for sleeping. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to help him adjust to sleeping with his helmet on?
Guest guest
One of the best suggestions I have heard here and tried myself was to put a piece of memory foam on the mattress (we put it directly on top of the mattress, underneath the mattress pad and sheet). We bought a twin size piece at Target for $40 and cut it down to fit the size of the mattress. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi, my twins sons also started their DocBand about a week and a half ago and it took a few days to figure it if they were too hot or too cold. I tried with a onesie like some other mom recommended but since I have an a/c in their room, they were too cold. Then I tried a regular light pj but with nothing else underneath and it seems to work OK for them. I also bathe them at night before they go to sleep so they feel fresh and clean. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi, Some kids just need time. (but also check to make sure he doesn't have any red spots or irritation) My son took a week to " break in " . Every kid is different and it's probably the hardest on us listening to our kids adjust. I can tell you that now my son is fine in the helmet and never seems bothered. Guest guest
We put a piece of foam that we bought at Target(green box). This was recommended by other parents on this site. We have never had an issue while using the memory foam. We cut it to patch the bassinett and had left over for the crib. Good Luck, Tammylborovoy <lborovoy@...> wrote: Hi there, my son has just started wearing a corrective helmet, and hasadjusted to except for sleeping.
