Guest guest
No. I had my first consult only about three weeks to a month after consultation. Not everyone needs to do two surgical consults. So, if you get scheduled for your consult, and you've already lost the weight...they can get you started. For me the journey was long and quick. I was approved in December, but didn't have my orientation until January (I think mid-January). I had my first consult in February...and I had already lost about 12 lbs. And then in March, Olivier was here, and it was an emotional month...but I lost about 8 or 9 more. April was tough, because I twisted my ankle and strained a ligament, so exercise was out. As a result, I only lost about 2 lbs. It took me a whole freakin' month to get the last three lbs. off. And that happened because Pam and I promised to each other that by hook or by crook, I'd get it off by the end of May. So, for the last week and a half, I've been working out about 6 days a week...really limiting my intake (focus on lean protein and salad greens and some protein shakes), and drinking water like a little fishy. And voila...there is came. Finally. Stubborn little lbs. So, now I'd just like to try and lose a few more before the big day...as I'd like to be below 230 when I have the surgery. (I'm 234.5 right now...started out at 261.) I'm 5'6"...and Dr. Fisher told me that I should expect to get down to between 140 and 145. That's about right, I've been there before. (for like, a nanosecond). I'm pretty muscular, so I think that will be normal weight for me. To think about actually seeing that number again...and in a way that is more than just mere fantasy...well, hey. That's just an amazing thought.... You'll get there. How many more lbs. do you have to go? Robynnsnickers_95203@... wrote: RobynnWas that your first consult after orientation?Cecilia--- Robynn VanPatten wrote:> Thanks guys!!! Guest guest
Robynn, thank you and I am glad that you chose me to be there to support you. You were there to get me through my rough times with my last few pounds a well. Well, you were the supporting me the entire time. All the one on one conferences we had..it meant a lot. I am really looking forward to when you have your surgery so I will have some one to walk with on this journey. Looking so forward to it dear. Again, congrats!
