Guest guest
Happy Halloween to all... Normally, this would have been a depressing event, but I can honestly say Halloween and the South Beach Diet work well together... I bought candy to pass out and also several packages of Sugar Free candy ( Stover's brand) for us (me & hubby)... So, we had the opportunity to " indulge " in candy and did not feel deprived ~ The Stover brand is actually good... I haven't tried any other brand... I can tell you that all previous Halloween's were focused around candy & food & dessers, and even though we had food, it wasn't the main focus... We splurged carbohydrately and bought a thin crust pizza (not really allowed, but always a favorite for us and I seem to think, somewhere I read that thin crust was okay, occasionally...). I made a huge pitcher of crystal light lemonade and put frozen strawberries and blueberries into it, which turned it a lovely dark pink color, and had a fantastic salad, with grape tomatoes and red onions and avocados... It was festive and fun and not at all, in any way " diet like " ... Continued success to all!!!!! Celeste __________________________________ Yahoo! Guest guest
Chuck, You're too funny. I find that moderation works for me (well for most things! ) The things that I used to love eating I find too sweet or greasy now. Plus I find that they throw my system all out of whack. Not something I enjoy Paola > > You mean hold it down to four or five in one sitting? Guest guest
I was at a work party several weeks ago and ate a donut. About an hour later I thought I had food poisoning! That darn donut messed me up for a while. I couldn't believe it. Yes, your system changes, and yes, sweet has a whole new meaning now. Oh, the candy goes to work with me this morning. It will " call " one of the women all day long. Cheap entertainment! (Yes, I know, a bit mean, but it's still going to be fun. LOL!!!)
