Guest guest
Have you tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol? Try and find 91%(drugs stores, target, etc.) and rub down the inside fo the band and let it air dry while you bathe your baby. Also, try using one of those yummy smelling baby shampoos (suave or loreal) to help your sons head. Guest guest
Hi , I know the smell you mention. would get it and I just could not get it too go away. Her helmet never smelled bad but her forhead would sometimes keep the smell. I would even leave her shampoo on for a while. After a few days of nnot wearing it anymore she was fine. As gross as this may sound I missed the smell when it went away. I wonder how it will be once we get her new DocBand. Guest guest
I use Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo on my son's head...really massage it well on the scalp and I don't get the smell anymore. It was there the first week and a half and I couldn't get it to go away with shampoos like California Baby & J & J (yellow bottle). Also my son at that time was developing dry flaky scalp and it was attributing to the smell I thought. Someone here advised to use Aveeno oatmeal bath and make a paste out of it and cover the head with it during the bath...I believe it was Jen's advise (of Jen & Luli?) thanks a lot to you for that tip! It worked for us, no more flaky scalp + the continuous use of the aveeno baby wash & shampoo got rid of the pungent smell. > > Hi , > His head is the smell i can't get rid of , not the helmet , i do use alcohol every night to clean his helmet , and on his head i use the johnsons bedtime wash , and i can still smell it a little bit on his head , the sweaty smell .... maybe it's because i'm pregnant that the smell is so apparent to me . hahaha . > > > > smell from doc band > > > my son has been in his doc band for three weeks now when i take it off > in the evening and give him a bath after his bath his head still has > that odor anyone know of anything i can do to get rid of that?? > > > > > Email and AIM finally together. Guest guest
I read somewhere online to try 's Tea Tree Oil shampoo... We're not there yet--Charlie's getting his helmet tomorrow morning, but I'm going to Whole Foods this afternoon to have some on hand. I know Tea Tree Oil has a strong smell to it anyway but I'm not sure how strong the shampoo smells (that alone may bother you being pregnant!). -- From: Plagiocephaly [mailto:Plagiocephaly ] On Behalf Of NovakSent: Sunday, October 07, 2007 7:11 PMPlagiocephaly Subject: Re: smell from doc band Hi , His head is the smell i can't get rid of , not the helmet , i do use alcohol every night to clean his helmet , and on his head i use the johnsons bedtime wash , and i can still smell it a little bit on his head , the sweaty smell .... maybe it's because i'm pregnant that the smell is so apparent to me . hahaha . smell from doc band my son has been in his doc band for three weeks now when i take it off in the evening and give him a bath after his bath his head still has that odor anyone know of anything i can do to get rid of that??
