Guest guest
Hello everyone. Greetings from Kalgoorlie. Hope life is treating you all well. Tomorrow sees 4 weeks since the banding and I couldn't have dreamt for it to be better. The pain has all but gone and I have been very fortunate as to have not been "sick" once. More good luck than good management I reckon!!! I flew to Perth Thursday for my first fill with Dr Keirath and had 2mls put in and he seemed happy with my progress. I haven't got a clue as to what I've lost because I don't have a scales but it is coming off-I am using clothes as my weight loss guide and I am seeing a few little changes in some of them-not enough around the tummy area though!!!! Yes it is cruel that the boobs are the first to part with their excess but I've told the tummy it's next!!! Have been back at work for two weeks and although I get a bit tired some days overall I feel terrific. I find I have a little more energy at night time which is good. Pre-banding I would get home from work, stuff myself with dinner and that would be it. But now I don't eat the moment I get through the door and even have some energy to do some chores or whatever and it's great. Then when you do think about having tea you're sometimes not even hungry and that is a very pleasant change indeed!!! Am getting into a good walking routine and although it's only been two weeks since I started exercising can do a little bit more each week. My dogs think it's wonderful. We have a beautiful oasis here-a very nice aboretum with a lovely dam and heaps off walking tracks. The dogs have a swim while I do warm up stuff and then we go for a big walk and then dogs need another swim (me too but dams don't do it for me!!!) It has become a very important start to my day. Anyhow speaking of walking I'd better get off this computer and get cracking. Best wishes to all of you and have a terrific week.
