Guest guest
I've had better days...my dear 13 yr old daughter went out bike riding today (just this summer we've let her ride a bit further...she loves to ride to a horse farm nearby-1/2 mile or so from our house and feed the horses carrots....we usually send her on her bike ride with 2 her half of a set of 2 way radios....but she forgot to take it today) and about half way into her bike ride she took a major spill; splitting open both her hands and did a real number on her knee, poor kid, after sitting roadside for a few minutes she rode home and came the closest i've ever seen anyone come to passing out when she walked thru the door...while DH was cleaning her up, amongst my tears (i'm such a 'woos' when it comes to my kids and any hurts they get!) i totally broke down and ate a snickers crunch bar (and i don't praticularly even care for them sheeeesh!!!!) comfort food perhaps?!?! Now that Janelle is feeling a bit better i'm soooooo angry with myself for giving in to what i KNOW isn't good! GOSH DARN IT!!!! Well, just needed to get that off my chest...PHEW...back to basics for me! Sherry
Guest guest
Aww Sherry, Never mind the chocolate, be happy your girl is ok, scrapes will heal, it could have been worse. And it's ok being wussy when your kids are hurt - I'm a vet but when one of my pets is hurt I burst out in tears - I've been sent out of exam rooms when my pets were being treated! Hope she and you feel better, Vered switty36@... wrote: > > I've had better days...my dear 13 yr old daughter went out bike riding today > (just this summer we've let her ride a bit further...she loves to ride to a > horse farm nearby-1/2 mile or so from our house and feed the horses > carrots....we usually send her on her bike ride with 2 her half of a set of 2 > way radios....but she forgot to take it today) and about half way into her > bike ride she took a major spill; splitting open both her hands and did a > real number on her knee, poor kid, after sitting roadside for a few minutes > she rode home and came the closest i've ever seen anyone come to passing out > when she walked thru the door...while DH was cleaning her up, amongst my > tears (i'm such a 'woos' when it comes to my kids and any hurts they get!) i > totally broke down and ate a snickers crunch bar (and i don't praticularly > even care for them sheeeesh!!!!) comfort food perhaps?!?!
