Awww...the butt sticking out the back of your gown is the best part!

They chill the xray tables at my facility just for this exposure. *L*

It is good that you have lost some weight this year. As the weather

continues to improve, maybe you can go outside more. I am pre-op, so

I am curious...what is your day to day life like now?

> Well I am 16 months out. Still haven't reached goal. The weightloss

is really slowing down. Since January I have lost 6 lbs. :::sigh::: I

figure that I have a minimum of 50 lbs to go. On the positive side, I

had a back xray today and for the first time in my life, I could close

the gown in the back and not have my rear end hanging out.

I know exactly what you mean about the gown!! I had to go to the urologist

the other day for a cystoscopy and I was amazed that my gown closed in the

back without any gaps! Wow!

I am 4 months out and have lost 90 pounds since the surgery. I can't

believe how great I feel!!!!!

Lida,

Congratulations!!! I am pre-op so I am prepared for the weight loss slow

down. It will be really neat to be able to close the gown at the hospital.

Some people take such little things for granite.....those little things will

be big things for me!!!

My day to day life is pretty good now. I figure I still have about 50-70 lbs to reach goal. I can walk now which I had problems preop. I still have problems with energy and it is so hard to remember to eat --whether it be food or protein shakes -- (gee ... You think there might be a correlation there? <G>) so that is a constant struggle. I do get enough liquid in so that’s a good thing and I know I need to exercise more. Unfortunately, my job is keeping me way too busy (~80 hour work weeks between my regular job and my job as a volunteer paramedic) so it is hard to get up the enthusiasm to get out and exercise even more .... But I know that will really increase my weightloss now that I am slowing down.

Wow, Rory, congratulations! You were one week ahead of me at Pacific Bariatrics

and you've lost almost double what I've lost! Part of it is your " maleness " -

you guys just lose faster that we do, but most of it is surely your hard work.

I'm very impressed!

Congrats! again even if I already responded to this.

This is something to be proud of and celebrated.

I am looking forward to that day.

My goal is to be at least 148 by my birthday. And at goal weight of

135 by August 19th...my two year re-birthday!!! I will do this!!!

Im going to buy roller blades today to enhance my marathon training.

So on days I dont run...I will blade!! Plus tighten up my legs that

I cant afford reconstruction on. I had a dream about one year post

op of blading down the freeway...so now I will LOL.
