Yes! I think we all go thru that - some is normal some is NOT! I know for us we had a ring forming thru the opening in the top of her band. Not normal, not good. I have read about others that have various bumps thru the process. With out seeing it I can't tell you what I think - I'd say call the Ortho and take him in to have it looked at.

BTW - what band do you have?

Jen and Luli (17mo)

? regarding head shape changing

Hello. Jack has had his helmet for 5 weeks now and sometimes I feel

like I am not sure I know what should be going on. I have seen small

changes in his head shape, and right now he seems to be getting a

pronounced "bump" on the back on his head. HIs flat spot is more to the

right side than the back. I guess my question is, Where there times

that you were really concerned with the shape your little ones head was

taking? He just turned 8 months old.

Yes! There were days I questioned our decision to band. There were

times that I thought my son's head looked worse. But in the end his

head turned out great. I think the unsureness comes from the head

growth being redirected. It is SO worth it in the end. Your son

will have a beautiful head when its all done.

10.5 month son, Doc graduate

PS: Oh one more thing, if you aren't sure ask your ortho like Jen

said.

I should clarify...There were days I questioned why we banded during

the time my son was wearing his band.
