Guest guest Posted May 3, 2002 Report Share Posted May 3, 2002 Hi Gang, Well, todays my first day I actually felt like getting on the computer. I had my surgery Monday morning ... Dr.Eppley said my implant was infected and so he removed it and completely cleaned the area to be sure no dead or infected tissue remained. He said my cartilige was a " challenge " for him to carve and sculpt (it was harder then he had hoped for) but he got it done and he thinks I will be satisfied. I stayed in the hospital until Wednesday because I was being given plenty of antibiotics to be sure no infection remained. I got home Wednesday late afternoon (that was one long drive ...) and have been taking it relatively easy since then. I will say today I did get a bit active (even going as far as to going to an event where a community band my husband directs played and he and I even danced a few songs together!!!). Dr.Eppley is hopeful (as am I ) that this surgery will be a success. I will let you all know how Monday goes once all the bandages and drain tubes are removed and I will also update my webpage with pictures. Also ...congrats on pretty little Camryns arrival home ... she is a cutie without a doubt!!! Plus I hope everyone else on here is doing well and everything is going well.
