Guest guest
Dear , Any medical expenses that Medicare or your insurance company does not cover above and beyond $1,000 per taxation year is claimable at 20%. So if you were out of pocket $5,500 for medical stuff for the financial year you get back 20% of $4,500. Included in this is things like any other medical bills for the entire family that you have had to fork out for including the gap in medical bills. The gap is the difference between what you pay and what Medicare or the insurance company pays that is claimable. Things like panadol, painstop and prescriptions are also claimable. At the beginning of the tax year your chemist will give you a form and anything that is claimable that you buy there will be registered so you know how much you have spent on stuff. Does that clear things up? If not email me back for more information. You will be able to claim your, operation, gap expenses and chemist stuff at the end of June 1999.
