Guest guest
To Marc, I read your email and was filled with delight. Yes, I too am going the full monty when I get to goal weight which at the moment I do not know what it is. I am having the excess skin removed, the tummy tuck and my breasts lifted. (See Sharon's joke in yesterdays email). This emailing list is just so wonderful. You are all so brave and dedicated to the cause. To those waiting for approval - do not give up. In Western Australia it is so cheap compared to America. My surgery was about $7000 of which I get back $1500 at the end of the tax year. We could not afford to pay cash so it went on the credit card and we have paid about $900 off. We are saving at least $30 per week in binge food as well as normal food so it was not too bad financially. I would have preferred to have had it done under insurance cover which seems to be ridiculously easy over here compared to you. I simply could not wait the twelve months as I had so many other health issues as well as emotional ones. We have Medicare (which is government run) and HBF and Medibank as the main insurance providers. There may be one or two other smaller providers but as far as I am aware and correct me please if I am wrong, that is it. If you want any sort of cosmetic, lipo-suction, weight loss surgery, pay your premiums for 12 months and you are home and hosed. The insurance companies certainly would not reject you. To Gray with the open invitation for Bandsters to visit him. Send me the plane ticket and I will be there.
