Oh, I feel so full

Hi Bandsters,

Gosh, I feel so full...and do you know what I had? Just a hard boiled egg...I

couldn't even look at the rest of the food that was on my dinner plate. It

happens to me all the time now: at lunch I orderd a toasted Brie sandwich,

after half a triangle I felt like I could never eat again. I wasn't even able

to drink my tea.

If only I could stick to the three meals a day bit, I would lose weight so

fast. My downfall are the cookies, cakes and candy in between meals. Oh

well...

So my tip for the day? If you feel like binging, eat a hard boiled egg. LOL

cheers Barbara

Steph,

Unfortunately a cookie does not make me feel as full as a hard boiled

egg and they slide down really easily. I don't really know why. A dry

cake will fill me up though, but not as much as the hb egg.

I don't always understand why some things go down so well and others do

not. I have now given up on corn on the cob. It got stuck for the third

time the other day but I also had to go to the bathroom and bring it up

again, because I felt so sick. Why? I have no idea. So you see I can eat

certain things that fill me up and that I do not have to vomit, other

things go down and come right up again and thirdly there are things like

bread that go past the filling up stage and it can hurt really badly.

I don't really mind if all this happens at home. But I do need to go on

quite a number of business lunches and it scares me a bit. Last week I

ordered a Risotto with Asparagus and had to stop eating after 4 forks

full. My business partner looked at me in a strange way and to top it

off the waitress comes and asked me if the food was not good. During

these conversations the rice must have formed this big clump in my pouch

and it started to hurt dreadfully. I confess, I had to rush to the

bathroom to fix the situation. Bummer.

Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Barbara,

I'm curious...If an egg makes you feel full, wouldn't a cookie

produce

almost the same result?

Steph.

oooooooHHHHHHH BARBARA!! Hi. Just had a very similar experience yesterday

at a business lunch. Eating chicken soup (of all things!!) and just got

this totally swelling feeling in my throat and then super nauseaus. I told

my guest I was sick to my stomach and had to go " get it up " . It's been

happening more and more lately. Here's my question, Barbara: If our

throat, esophogus and stomach are the same, down to the band, why is this

stuff getting stuck on the way down to the band?? It's not like our

esophogus has been altered. This can happen to me on an empty stomach, so

it's not like the little stomach is full and pushing the food back up. Do

you know the cause for this?? If no one knows, I'm going to address it to

my surgeon. Take care!!!

Debi,

I honestly don't know why some stuff comes up so quickly and other foods you

can eat loads of. I even once had to vomit up liquid on an empty stomach! I

think I know why: I sort of gulped it down, I guess it was too much too fast

for my stomach. I will also try to find out from the professionals why this

is. Then lets compare explanations, OK

Hugs Barbara
