Dear Friends,

This is my first time on the bandsters email list and I am not sure if my

email will get to the right place as I am a computer moron. Please bear

with me if I get things wrong. I had my operation on 4.5.98. I weighed

120 kilos. My highest ever weight was 139 kilos at 9.2 months pregnant

22.6.95. My lowest weight post bulimia/anorexia was 65 kilos and I thought

I was hideously fat. That was back in 1984. I have been to hell and back

with my weight and eating and I certainly recognise a few of your faces in

the crowd down there. My operation went well and I am down to 105 kilos.

I have learned how to eat sloshy chocolately foods thus my weight has

stabilised so I am making a monumental effort to stick to soups and

yoghurts for a while. I need so much emotional support that I can't get

from people who have not had the operation and I simply do not know anyone

else who has had it done. Please feel free to email me with anything.

Regards

Neale

P.S. Please explain what is flaming.

Seems like we all are making quite frequent tript to Hell ..But you are in the

right place...Everyone here makes an effort to be there for one another,

albeit cyber.

I dont think anyone professes to have any answere, but is real nice to feel

someone is holding your hand thru the rough spots when noone else really i

understands

Hang in there,,,keep typing and at least get it off your chest!

Dear ,

I don't know whether it's comforting or not to hear that most of us feel the

same way as you do, but I will say that 15kilos loss sounds just great to

me. My slimmest adult weight was also 65 kilos, and I remember feeling

terribly unhappy and fat at THAT weight. So obviously I need a band put

around the self-esteem-lacking spot in my brain too.

Can you give us more information...like where are you, and who did your

surgery etc etc.

Many thanks

Steph.
