Guest guest
Can anyone tell me how long is it taking to schedule surgery with Dr. in Marietta? I am from Ga. when I am home. However, I posted here a few days ago about finding a doctor who is not taking forever to schedule surgery. I did talk with Dr. Keshishian's office today. Dee Tinkle was very nice, prompt with sending me information via email and she did not seem to rush me off the phone. As a matter of fact, she told me about her weight loss surgery when I asked and sent me before and after photos. They are located in Delano, Calif. I don't mind traveling the distance because I don't want to come back to work in July with the same problem. What's so embarrassing is that I have been out of uniform on the ship for 9 weeks because they don't make a size 24. Out of 475 crew, I am the only one. Normally, this doesn't bother me, however, the higher officers are always complaining about me in the meetings. Then, I get called by my higher officer and I have to go over again why I don't have uniforms. 2 weeks ago, I was sent a size 18!!! Do you know how angry I got when they decided to just send me anything! Well, if I can get all my pre-ops, I could have the surgery by the 2nd week in May, which would be perfect. Just tonight my mom asked me if I was still losing weight. During the last 4 weeks, I told her 'yes'. I decided to stop lying and I told her 'no'. I did not tell her that I am seeking to have surgery. She is with my brother right now who is suffering from sleep apnea, enlarged heart, hypertension and super morbid obesity. In a way, not only am I having this sugery for me, also for him. If I am successful, I want to try to persuade him to have it. He is 38 years old and has been disabled, unable to enjoy his life or his young child's life due to his comorbidities. He told me today that he looks like a ballon. He doesn't even recognized himself. My mom almost died 2 yrs ago from a stroke and heart attack. She had to have part of her brain removed to stay alive. She is doing well, however, I don't want to be in this situation. I am sorry. The words kept flowing!!

Guest guest
I have called his office several times. Also, they could not even schedule me for a April or May appt. I also sent in questionaire and email. I did receive a " you are qualified letter " . I don't want to wait until the last minute and then I have to wait another 8 months for surgery. I also asked about how long because I can not change my vacation schedule and I was told that they don't work that way. > > Can anyone tell me how long is it taking to schedule surgery with > Dr. > > in Marietta? Guest guest
First of all, CaribbeanLady, let me say I am totally envious of your job. I took my first cruise last March, through the Caribbean, from Florida to the Panama Canal and stopping at 6 ports along the way for two weeks, and I am still glowing from the awesome experience. Wow, how did God make that water such a gorgeous turquiose??!?!? What do you do on the ship and what ship do you work on? Okay, back on the subject...I am a postop of Dr , my lap DS was 10/11/00 and I am doing great. The bad news is, I understand that due to the many people with approved insurance/completed preop testing, etc. that are in line waiting for surgery dates, that he is not taking any new patients until July. I recommend that you email Dr at drdennissmith @ hotmail.com (take out the spaces) and explain your situation to see if there is any chance you could get in. Feel free to email me personally if you have any specific questions regarding Dr , who is incredible by the way, or anything else. My email addy is sbrown @ backroads.net (take out the spaces). Dreaming of another cruise... Brown, SC > > > Can anyone tell me how long is it taking to schedule surgery with > > Dr. > > > in Marietta? I am from Ga. when I am home.
