Guest guest
Is there some wrinkle in the cosmic fabric, that's got us all suddenly on emotional overload? The " Ultimate Observer " must be playing with us lab rats again! Guest guest
Tim... But isn't it wonderful to FEEL again? to really think about the possibilities of love? So what if she lives in Arizona. lives in Paris. Arizona is a quick and cheap Southwest trip away. Talk to your mutual friend, and ask him to make an inquiry as to whether you can drop her a line, sometime. She may be thinking about you, too. I've seen your picture. You're a cute guy...you're an insightful guy...you are funny and sweet. No reason in the world to believe that the attraction was not mutual. You need to act, my friend. When you are recuperating, you can strike up an e-mail correspondence with her. And then...when you have healed...you may have a little bit of emotional traction with her (women are seduced through soft words)...take a freakin' trip already!! Life is short, and the world isn't so big...people can meet across the miles, and wind up together. Here's a story for you: My friend, , was perpetually single. Great gal, really. Love her. But, she could never really make a love connection. Her good friend from college was getting married to an English guy. The wedding was near where lives, so being the gracious person she is...she opened her home to some of the friends of the groom coming from Englad for the nuptials. One of the guys who stayed with her was nice enough, but shy...and was sickly. But, she liked all of her guests and they had a good time. (she lives in Berkeley). Fast forward six months or so...she's home in Boston visiting her family. Checks her e-mail, and finds out from the groom that he and several of his Brit buddies who had stayed with her were in New York for a little New Year's trip. She took the train down to NYC, and hung out with them all. They had fun. She thought maybe there was a spark with Dave, but wasn't sure. Groom intervened. You know, a little bit of, "I think someone likes you...." play. Dave asked for her e-mail, said, "Sure, why not." They began corresponding. Several months later, she went to London to meet one of her friends. She and Dave spent time together. They liked each other. Dave had the opportunity to take a little "golden parachute" voluntary resignation. He took the cash, and moved to the States. They married three months later. They were made for each other. The first time we saw them together, they were already like an old married couple. Perfectly matched. Wonderful. It's two years later, and now she is pregnant. So, essentially, her life changed completely because he took a chance..and so did she...at age 39, she suddenly has a life. It can happen, my friend. But you can't win if you don't play! Guest guest
BLUSH! What a great story! My detour into reality (i.e. how " normal " people socialize) was what it was. Startling, cathartic, etc. but she's " involved " and I won't do anything to mess with that. She has my card (with my " before & after " pictures on it and email address, so . . .
