Hi everyone

I hope everyone is healthy and happy. Just letting you all know that I am

still alive. I think I must be going for the title of " Superwoman " because

I have now taken on a part time job as well as full time university whilst

attempting to raise three children. (Am I nuts or what?)

I have read everyone's posts. Hi to all the new comers and welcome Walter.

Getting closer Steph.....nervous?

Well I have had some ups and downs with the band lately. As some of you

already know, I have a bit of a problem with vomiting. My band initially

only had 2ml of fluid. All was going well for about 4 months but then I

started throwing up. The Dr removed 1.5ml of fluid and did some tests

(barium meal....mmmm lovely). Everything was ok but I then found I could

eat too much so I asked to Dr to put 1ml back in. Things where great for a

couple of more months but the problem recurred. The Dr removed all the

fluid and did a gastroscopy (camera down the throat to check the stomach).

Everything is fine and there is NO slippage. Well I currently have no fluid

in the band but am happy with the amount I can eat and I now rarely throw up.

YES IT HAS ALL BEEN WORTH IT!!!!!!

I absolutely love the band and the results I am getting with it. I seem to

have slowed down in my weight loss but I have reached a point where I am

happy (relatively) with my size. I no longer have the physical restrains my

weight used to put on me. I can do things I never dreamt of before. I was

a size 26, I am now a size 14/16 and I am happy.

I hope to stay in touch a little more often as the support I get here is

great (even if I am only reading the posts and not having time to reply).
