Hi Geoff,

Where did you have your surgery done? Has the band advanced all the way

to Geraldton or did you have to go to Perth? I used to live in Sydney

and I visited Perth a few years ago. I really love Australia and hope to

take up residence there again one day.

BTW how is the weight loss going?

cheers Barbara

Hi Geoff,

Welcome to bandsters.

How long does your Dr say you have to stay on purees, for most of us it is 4

weeks.

How is Geraldton? I have some business I need taken care of over there so

maybe you can do me a favour? What suburb are you in? (BTW I am in Sydney

[but I do not drink the water ]).

What about a bit more of an introduction? How tall are you? How much do

you want to loose? Married? Children? What is the Geoff Elliott story?

moment I'm on liquids, and fast growing sick of pureed apple, soups and

smoothies !!!! LOL.

Hi Jo-Ann,

I keep thinking about how impressed I am with the amount that you have

lost...it's keeping me going until D-Day. Can you give me a rough guide

(when you have the time) of what you would eat in an average day. For

example, can you have two pieces of toast for brekky, or is that too much? I

now have two crumpets for brekky and still feel hungry by 10am. I am hoping

this operation will fix that for me. What do you think?

Thanks, Steph.

Hi ,

Things aren't going so great now, I have actually put 2kgs back on!!!!

Please people dont get downhearted. The reason I have put the weight back

on is that I have had all the fluid removed from my band so my Dr could do a

gastroscopy. Results are OK. No slipping and everything is fine. But then

my Dr decided to go on 6 weeks holiday. I can't get the band tightened

until 22 October.

I'm trying to watch what I eat but it does feel good to enjoy food again.

Normally (with tightened band) I find that one piece of toast in the morning

does me till lunch time. The band is still restricting me. I find that I

can only eat 1-2 pieces of toast but I get hungry after a little while.

Hope everyone else is doing OK
