Guest guest
Tana- How impressive and congratulations on your loss. Did you hit many plateaus and for how long. I am a little frustrated. I was doing well but in 3 months this is my 2nd plateau and it is lingering-almost 3 weeks. I am a little scared thast I won't lose again but I am tryinghard to stay positive. Any insight would be appreciated. And any daily food logs to show me why you were so successful. Also, my common channel is 100 cm what is yours. Thanks, Ellen(Pam)

Guest guest
I'm 2 weeks post-op and have alredy discovered what sugar does for me. It makes me sick...dumping. I tried drinking gatorade to keep my hydration up, but then felt very sick shortly after. I felt nausea and then chills and overall icky. Probably not everyone has this strong of a reaction to sugar, but I seem to. ...... --- kayleighton@... wrote: > Group What does sugar do for you after surgary > other then making > you fat??????? Guest guest
It was my understanding that one of the main differences between the RNY and the Duodenal Switch is that there is no dumping syndrome with the Duodenal Switch. That's why I got the Duodenal Switch. For what it's worth, I can't tolerate GatorAde either. I think it's either the high sodium content or the emulsifiers. Just can't take it. I tolerate other things with sugar in them just fine. -Sherry (Lake Marcel, WA) BPD/DS Feb. 2, 2001 self-pay 5'5 " / 370 pounds / 33 years old Lost 9 pounds in pre-op weight loss efforts Have lost 41 pounds since surgery!
