Guest guest
Hi, I've begun to use test strips in order to have an early warning systemfor UTIs. As a result, I've gotten myself into a pattern where I test positive for nitrites and leucocytes, take a round of antibiotics, test negatve for 3 or 4 days, test positive again and take another round of antibiotics. Early on, before my dx, my urologist stated that with intermittent catheterization, there's always some bacteria in the bladder, therefore, a positive test was the norm. Notwithstanding this statement, I'd like to hear from those who use intermittent catheterization about their experience with test strips and UTIs. Thanks, Steve Crawford
