Guest guest Posted March 3, 2001 Report Share Posted March 3, 2001 Hi Everyone .... The day for my SWITCH is almost here!! I will be switched on 3/6/01 by Dr. Kim, assisted by Dr. Booth. (He had an eye injury- so he helps now only!) from ville FL is coming here to stay with me Sunday night - her dad and she are driving over and we both get switched the same day!! This is making it so much more special as she and I have talked a lot on the phone - as we both prepare for our new lives. I know things will not be easy for awhile, and I have read and posted enough on here to know every side of every story. I go into the procedure with a positive face, and a calm heart. My sweet Jim will be with me night and day, even though we only live a few miles from the hospital. I want to say a special thanks to everyone on this list who has taken the time, had the compassion and the spirit of giving .. who has helped me with questions of insurance, doctors and everything in between. You will all be with me in spirit .. I know that! hugs to all of you ...
