Guest guest
Barb; " .....Did you get a full body xray? " Yes, and it sure showed a tipped and twisted spine. Sure did surprise me, especially while sitting and the pelvic bone is straight. Also he had me stand on two different scales at the same time, with a pole in between them so I could stand straight with my belly button lined up with the pole. Yikes! On my right side I am 10 pounds heavier. Which now makes sense because my sciatic pain is more severe on my left side. So I step down more on my right leg. I did ask him about mother explaining her Shy-Drager condition. He said he has a lot better results with younger people. (Mom will be 81 in January.) Sometimes they're just to far gone. He didn't say it wouldn't help. But the cost would be around $1000 a month for her. She doesn't have it. I think the contorted movements would be way to difficult for her. Besides you really have to relax for it to work or you'll end up with more pain. I won't rule it out though. First it is me that needs working on. God I'm so glad I'm mentally healthy enough to really believe that. What a difference a couple of months can make in a persons life. I'm sure some of you prayed for me while I was pissing and moaning about my pains and depression. Again, I am so grateful, Thank you. Blessings & Holiday Cheer! Guest guest
Anne, Yes I too believe in good Chiropractic Care! I worked for one here in North Carolina for 7 or 8 years! Of course there are good and bad ones also in this field. But the bad ones give the care a bad rap! I myself have seen an improvement even in helping ones allergies! Guest guest
My experience has been that Medicare and our supplement will pay for Chiropractors but not for X-rays taken in his office. The X-rays must be taken at an outside facility and must show back problems. I have never been asked for a Physician's prescription. Guest guest
Ann, If you can get a prescription from your M.D. you may be able to get Medicare to pay for a month of the chiropractor. After that they would have to show progress to keep it going. That is why many chiropractors work directly with sports doctors. Guest guest
ann, Applause, applause, applause from the token chiropractic consultant in the group!! I LOVE hearing testimonials from an unbiased source. And, again folks. I have access to some wonderful doctors across the country, so if anyone needs a referral.... M. A good chiropractor Happy Holidays Everyone! I want to Thank those of you who suggested I see a chiropractor for the pain in my back and my pinched sciatic nerve. There is such a HUGE difference in Chiropractors. I have seen many over the years with some improvements and others I would never go back to again. I was referred to one more local Chiropractor, by (whom I'm thinking is an angle)Clara who volunteers at the VA Home. This Chiropractor treats the entire spine by what he calls Unwinding. He told me every accident, bump, bang or fall will cause your spine to lock up. When this happens the nerve messages have to compensate and many messages are blocked. Pain usually shows up late after a ton of missmessages. He gave me the book, CHIROPRACTIC FIRST by Terry A. Rondgerg, D.C, if anybody is interested. I just want to tell you there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the Chiropractic business. I set up treatments for next 3 month. Just after a consultations and 2 secession, I am very impressed. You can keep me accountable by asking me how i'm doing in 3 months! Blessings & Holiday Cheer! Ann-MN USA
