Guest guest
Bill Glad you at least got to come back. Not much really changes around here in the rural areas. I used to hate that but have grown to love it now. I hated growing up on a farm and traveling those gravel roads to school but I go back now to look at the farm and the rolling hills and the beautiful scenery and wonder why anyone would want to leave it. My husband goes to cut wood (we don't have a fire place) to help keep the fields clear for the guys who do the farming. He always asks me when he gets home who drives a white truck or who owns this piece of ground. When I ask why, he answers with the usual response, they always wave at me. :>) Everyone in Wabaunsee County waves as they drive by. Unwritten code of the Rolling Flint Hills of Kansas. Jayhawks and Wildcats play together all the time. My daughter tells her husband that it takes red and blue together to make purple. I've been designing a sign for them about the house divided. The wildcat that married the jayhawk. Take care Bill, I hope Kate is doing ok. Sally in KS
