donating milk?

I saw sumone post awhile back about selling milk.......i dont care about

selling......i will gladly donate..........I have a TON in the freezer that

I will never use and i hate to throw it away..........ITS ALOT........(dh

bought a freezer for christmas because it was taking up too much room in our

regular freezer) it would blow your mind if you saw how much I have !!!

I pumped alot before we got good at the nursing and I still pump from one

breast because she doesnt really like to eat from my right side :)

anyway...makes me sad to think i will have to throw it away and i heard sum

places will take it and use it for preemies or NICU babies..........i'm just

wondering how would i go about finding out who i can give it to??

TIA

You may have gotten an answer already, but this is the link for the Human

Milk Banking Association of North America:

http://www.hmbana.org/

And for the INFACT Canada breastfeeding homepage:

http://www.infactcanada.ca/

Btw, I'm just a short drive from the Mother's Milk Bank of Austin:

http://www.mmbaustin.org/

And you don't have to live near a bank. Breastmilk can be shipped overnight

if frozen, and almost all banks will pay for it as well as provide the

containers. And they'll do it gratefully. :)
