I can't use depo. I have grade 4 endometriosis and in the past, depo

made me bleed nonstop for 13 months. NO JOKE. I didn't have one day

where I didn't at least spot for 13 freaking months. didn't work

anyways. Wanna know why it finally stopped? I got PREGNANT. lol.

I am SO unbelievably fertile - I need to donate eggs or something! I've

thought about it, actually, but I don't think I could because of Ethan

and his heart defect. SIGH. To help someone else out....

I had been taking the pill when that all happened

Are you taking the 'regular pill' or the 'mini pill'. The regular one will definitely dry up your milk and the 'mini pill' which is supposed to be estrogen (?) free can also cause some big problems for most of the people I've talked to who take it. Your dr should have checked with you on wheter or not you were bfing and given you the information and prescription for the mini pill. I had taken the mini pill for awhile and although it didn't seem to dry up my milk it seemed like I wasn't able to increase my supply when I needed to. I stopped taking it and took fenugreek for awhile without any noticable changes and just finally everything seemed to work out. For contraception we use(d) the Vaginal Contraceptive Film (VCF) and like it ok. It's quick, not so messy and easy.......I find em at Walmart and Target.

I have a friend who tried the pill when her dd was 6 weeks old, lost her milk, went through much to get it back, she just recently decided to try the pill again, her dd is 9 months old now and the pill increased her supply this time! Good luck with it, maybe you just need to give yourself a few more months?

Except if it effects your milk you are stuck. If the mini pill has already effected her milk the depo shot most certainly will as well. I read about that in Dr Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding.

LOL me too! I am so fertile that i needed the depo every 2 mos instead of 3 because my periods would come back early. I stopped takeing it when I got married and it took me 9 mos for things to straighten out enough for me to get pregnant.

After I had Katelyn I had a period for one month and then was pregnant again! This time I told dh he isn't getting any until we have proof that his vacectomy worked this time, for one year!!!!!! I don't even trust bc!

I don't know about the diaphragm, but I do know the regular pill is a no-no

while bfing and the mini-pill can be detrimental on supply, depending on the

woman.
