Guest guest
Hi Steph, No I didn't have a dietician. I did all mine on a wing and a prayer. As for Uni - I go to UWS-Hawkesbury. I am currently in my 2nd year of a nursing degree (and loving it). Keep in touch. He asked me why I was having the scan and when I explained the operation as the newer alternative to the old stomach stapling he said " Why don't you just stop eating? " , and I said " My God, thankyou so much, I never thought of that! " . So many people just don't get it. You must be looking terrific Jo-Ann. I used to be a size 14 and would be more than happy at that. At the moment I'm an 18, which pretty much limits the shopping to Target or K-Mart. At least at a size 14 I can go to " normal " stores, which I am looking forward to. Can you tell me if you went to a dietician, and, if you did, whether it was worth it. My surgeon doesn't seem to have any follow-up plans as far as diet go, except for to say " just puree everything " . I'm thinking of finding a good dietician. Thanks, Steph. >

Guest guest
, Welcome to the group and thanks for sharing your story with us. It sounds as though your son has made great strides. It's a very inspiring story to those of us whose children are just toddlers. I look forward to meeting you and your sons some day. I hope you'll join us at one of the support group locations. -----Original Message-----From: musicalcelt Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 8:17 PMTo: EverydayMiraclesAutism Subject: Hi EveryoneHi all,I'm new to this group. Guest guest
Hi ! Welcome to the board! Glad you jumped right on in instead of merely watching on the side lines ) Sounds like you have your plate full! I recently went back to school myself (after a 20-year hiatus). I live out in Oxford, but lived in Waterford for over six years (off Lake near Knudsen Elem). My youngest (8)has Asperger's/ADHD, and my oldest (14)is more ADD/Depressive. Aren't they a challenge? But precious, deep-thinking people. Again, welcome! Robin M. > Hi all, > > I'm new to this group.
