Guest guest
A couple of weeks ago, Oprah did a very moving tribute to Mattie on her show. Travolta was also there to promote his new movie about the firemen (can't remember the name right now. It's a Mito thing.) Travolta was in tears after the tribute and the first thing that Cindy and I thought about after the show was that perhaps if we could reach him, he might be interested in being a celebrity who gets involved with the much needed cause of Mitochondrial Disorder. Mattie's mom was on the show and she gave great detail about his last weeks. They did mention that it was Mito and that she too had the disease. I wonder if this was the show, Laurie. Guest guest
Alice I don't think so as we get Oprah during work hours. She said she didn't remember what program and didn't mention taping it. I guess it is possible that she has cable and it is on at another time. I didn't get to talk to her for long as we were in the middle of a staff meeting. I have thought that Maddie will have a lasting affect on spreading the word about mito. I wish I had seen the show. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Fri, 1 Oct 2004 18:27:44 -0600 > To: > > Subject: Re: something positive > > A couple of weeks ago, Oprah did a very moving tribute to Mattie on her show. > Travolta was also there to promote his new movie about the firemen (can't > remember the name right now.
