Sheri nerve pain

There are medications out there for nerve pain. I am diabetic, but

diet controlled and nerve pain can be an aspect of that condition as

well. I have lucked out there but have yet another condition in which

I developed nerve pain and the medical community is having success

using certain seizure medications for such pain. One of them is

Neurontin. I currently have a friend taking it for the nerve pain

from shingles and it has been a great help to her. I unfortunately

was unable to take them in the amounts necessary to help me. Then

again we are all different. What doesn't work for one may work for

another. Worth exploring, I would think.

> Hi all, hope everyone is feeling good. I am new to this group -

joined a few days ago and have been reading a lot , can't believe how

much i've learned and wish i would have joined a long time ago .

Responding to the joint and muscle pain- I found that gets better

after chemo . My onc wasn't very helpful at the time - so i just dealt

with it. I do a question for anyone that has nerve pain to bottom of

feet from the chemo and muscle cramping. I do take a potassium pill

everyday and that seems to help a little. I am going to try magnesium

and calcium for the muscle cramps as some of you have suggested. any

suggestions for the nerve damage and helping that part get better? I

am so grateful to everyone here - even just reading the postings has

helped me and encouraged me . My last chemo was july of last year and

I feel like I should be back to normal but my body isn't cooperating

and I get frustrated sometimes. Thanks for listening. Good health to

everyone!! Sheri
