Just an update - I have a 4 year old son with left ear atresia/microtia - and had an appointment to see Dr. Romo in NYC for a consultation regarding the medcor implant. Of course, my insurance denied my request - and is referring me to other doctors in their network. I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on the following doctors.

Dr. Borah out of Wood in NJ

Dr. Vritbart NYC

Dr. Labruna NYC

If anyone has has any experience with the above - I would appreciate any comments you may have. Thank you!

Sheri,

Thank you for offering your assistance. I have no intention of backing down easily - I sent the dr's my insurance provided an email (the nurses in the office couldn't tell me what type of reconstruction they did) - once I gather the information - I'll have some ammo for the denial. I might take you up on the offer for some help in appealing. Thanks again:)
