Guest guest
Hi , I live in California too, we are going to Cranial Tech in Pasadena, my baby does't have the helmet yet, we are doing the insurance paper work. I think 3 -4 months sounds reasonble. My son is 3 1/2 months and they said we has to wear the helmet for 2 to 2/12 months, I heard is faster when the baby is younger. I am also getting prepared for the looks and questions. I am sure we will find good advice here. Does this sound reasonable? I'm concerned about how this will effect his sleeping and also hear a lot about sweating, smells, etc. Any advice? i'm sure we'll get the looks/questions too which i'm not prepared for. thanks, Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Even if Stellar is not the " prefered " provider for your insurance you should pay and stick with them. We went else where after our first visit with Stellar because of insurance and I wish we would have stayed. Other specialists do not provide the bands or only provide them with little follow up. Wish we could go back but too late now. > Hello, > > My son is being sized tomorrow for his helmet by Stellar > Prosthetics in Pasadena CA. Guest guest
I am using CT in NJ and my son started at 7.5 months and they predicted he would wear it 2.5 to 3 months. He started out with 15mm asymmetry, right side plagio. 3-4 months sounds reasonable. It really depends on how fast the head grows. Guest guest
Hi , I also take my 11 1/2 month old to Stellar. he was banded at 8 months 3 weeks and told me he would have to wear it for 3-6 months. he started out at 14mm asym. and now is at 8mm asym. he has been in the band for about 3 months now and i saw sean on friday and he said it might be in it longer then 6 months now because he only had 1 mm of growth in a month. it all just really depends on how fast your baby grows and sean is great at what he does so i would trust his judgement. How do you like Stellar so far?? I think its great and am very pleased with our desion to go to him even though we drive and hour and a half both ways to get to him. who knows maybe one day will meet in pasting there.
