I can't remember. I went to the Adjustable Bed mart here in the desert. But

if you go to any good furniture or bed store OR an adjustable bed store you

are sure to find a quality adjustable. This is where I would not pinch pennies

but get a quality bed with a good motor and a great warranty. Be sure to try

it out and take your time! I also got one of those mattresses that is not

quite viscose but that stuff you sink into a bit but is firm. For someone

with a gerd problem and who knows what else, the adjustable bed is a must. i

think they are tax deductible, too, with doctor's note.

I agree with what Lil said :-)

with the slight exception that I don't recommend buying extra warranties.

Electric motors normally don't burn up, a decent quality bed will last for

years.

I agree, don't buy a warranty, a good bed should come with one,and they do

last and last. I have really enjoyed mine. I am afraid to mention how good it

has been for fear it will break!!

Does anyone else have one? If so, do you think they will help with

afib?

-------------

My mom has an adjustable (hospital) bed, it came through Medicare and a

company called 'health care solutions'. It's not a craftmatic or anything.

Actually the bed frame and workings were not too expensive but we had to buy

a replacement mattress for it recently and that little bugger was

expensive, $280. This bed size is like a big twin. The workings (electric

motors) have lasted a long time, over 10 years and still going strong. Don't

get the mattress that has a plastic casing, even if you pad the heck out it

you still sweat and it creaks when you move. I agree with what Lil said :-)

with the slight exception that I don't recommend buying extra warranties.

Best wishes to all,

Lorrie
