Hi

I am 41 and was also advised that hysterectomy was the

best option for me. I think age is one consideration

by doctors but also because it's a more straight

forward operation and I was told by my gyno that

there's a risk with myomectomy that fibroids can

return. However, I made the decision to have a myo as

it's less traumatic- I'll just be keeping my fingers

crossed that the fibroids don't return- or at least if

they do, that they don't cause me all the problems I'm

having now.
