We have kicked around family leave, the only problem is that then there is no income coming in either and unfortunately we live paycheck to paycheck with all of their bills. I don't even have enough to make the house payment in savings right now much less the food and utilities and there 14000 in prescription deductibles. Kira's last big medical episode wiped us out. But if it goes on too much longer I will have no choice because My health can't take this either! I do have a bit of sick time left about four days, but that is it for the rest of the school year! I don't know what I am going to do for the rest of the year. I hate this. I was so hoping that this year was going to be better than last year. Not so, it has only been worse so far!!!! " It sounds as if either Mom or Dad might need to do this for now until the nurse situation can be taken care of. This way both of you can get some rest. Just a thought. I'm sorry she's not better and more sorry that had the episode. I'm sure you are very scared and I would be too. I'll keep you all in my prayers. That way you might be able to stay home for awhile and still have some income coming in. Do you have a " Council for Exceptional Students " group in the area. It is for mainly special education teachers, but I know that our local group helps people pay for prescriptions and can even offer some help with chores like shopping, etc. They don't do it for long term, but it might get you out of the current pinch.
