Guest guest
When Ken started on Comtan, he developed diarrhea about three months after starting it, and his doctor took him off it immediately saying that it could do that even after a long time on it. He had gotten so much more mobile on it that we hated to take him off. So, without the doctor's permission, we tried him on it again after the bowel problem was solved. He took Compton until his death this past May and never had diarrhea again. In fact, he was constipated near the end, and we had to give him strong laxatives. Our doctor did not disapprove when we told her he was back on the Comtan. Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara P. Charlotte used Comtan for at least 2 years and never had problems with diarrhea (did have problems with constipation before and after using Comtan. The biggest problem she had was constipation. It did cause her to have more dyskinesia, but we cut back a little of the floinef and a little of the Sinemet which helped. You can cut the pills in half to cut the dose - we did that with Charlotte. On reading the circular that comes with sample from doc it seems that diarrhea can occur even months after starting it. Guest guest
hi I just started comtan last tues. The doc cut my dose of sinemet in half. BIG MISATKE! At first it was great then 3 days later I was out on the couch and throwing up. I upped my sinemet back to the full dose and it is great! We are all pretty excited about it.However, we know from past experiences to be patient. At first I had increase in bowel movement which made me happy, but it has subsided. The strange part was that at first my BP and HR shot up really high. nancy m.
