Guest guest
No I don't know why. Wouldn't that be great if they did. I can only speculate. Maybe it's because it isn't like a regular orthotic. It takes a lot of practice to get proficient. It's not something they could easily do all of in house - i.e. they would probably have to contract with hanger or orthomerica. Maybe it hasn't been seen as a need?? Hmm maybe we should start hounding their national headquarters >> I just thought I'd pass this information along in case it can help anyone with a child in need of a cranial orthosis or other torticollis/plagio-related treatment. > > The Shriner's Hospitals for Children (http://www.shrinershq.org/hospitals/geninfo.html) is a network of hospitals throughout North America where children under the age of 18 receive free medical care. Their website says that> " All of the orthopaedic hospitals are equipped and staffed to treat children with congenital orthopaedic deformities, problems resulting from orthopaedic injuries, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. " I'm assuming this would include torticollis/plagiocephaly? > > Alison Marcoff> mom to Leila, 8 months> Boynton Beach, FL> amarcof@ > _________________________________________________________________> Join the next generation of Hotmail and you could win the adventure of a lifetime> http://www.imagine- msn.com/minisites/sweepstakes/mail/register.aspx>For more plagio info
