Guest guest
Hi. I was diagnosed Type 2 a few months ago. I am supposed to check my sugar levels before breakfast and before supper. I'm usually where I should be in the evening, but I'm having trouble keeping my morning numbers down. Valentine's and Easter did me in, and I know that was my fault. I am getting better--I only drink sugar free drinks and water, and I am watching my diet more. I'm not supposed to eat any high-oxalate foods (leafy greens, many vegetables, beans, etc.) because of kidney stones. Sometimes I kind of feel like if I try to eat right for both problems, I'm left with just water! I found a group that is all about low-oxalate cooking, and I will probably join it. Does anyone have any tips for helping to bring down my morning numbers? I know I should probably start keeping a food diary. That would help with both diabetes and kidney stones. Thanks for any advice. : ) Barbara
