When you need a fix, and you can't get to the store, here is the thing that keeps me going: Lynn's Chocolate 1 oz unsweetened chocolate 1 T. butter, room temp 1 T. cream, room temp Splenda to taste (I use 2 T or more) few drops vanilla extract few drops maple extract (intensifies the chocolate taste) Melt chocolate in microwave, stir in other ingredients, chill until firm or lick it off the spoon, your choice. It fits on a little dessert plate and is about the size of a chocolate bar. Its not gourmet chocs, but OK when you need it. Total recipe is about five carbs. If you want to get fancy, add cream cheese, softened, chopped nuts or unsweetened coconut. Maybe even grate a little orange rind, hmmm, may try that.
