Guest guest
Mel and all, I know the feeling!!! Took 5 different kinds of antidepressants over 5+ years (only one at a time) then switched over to St. 's Wort because the last one, Prozac, was no longer working. St 's Wort is considered the 'natural prozac'. During the post-partum years that I was very hypothryoid with adrenal exhaustion and very, very depressed ... no doctor would look at my multiple symptoms, only wanted to treat my depression. Over time I found that St 's Wort (for the depression) and Triple Root Ginseng (American, Siberian, and another one... think Korean- for energy) combination helped me to survive. I preferred St. 's Wort over any of the antidepressants. It gives no side effects as the rx do. Also, SAMe is supposedly a good choice. I tried it earlier this, but didn't stay with it. Anyone tried this? The T3 in Armour is suppose to increase the seratonin. So, once you're on it for awhile, you should notice a difference. My severe depression lifted right away once I started Armour. Some did come back this November but contribute that to detoxing the yeast. Also, if you've been tested to need cortisol and begin taking it, it should also help with seratonin levels. Also, take B-12 and a good B-complex. I'm taking B-Complex-125 mg & B-12 sublingual. Sometimes 2 B-12's when I'm really depressed. Any and all of these will take a couple of weeks to get into your system good making a noticable difference. But hopefully, if you get started on these tomorrow, you're whole holidays won't be in misery. For anxiety or anxiousness- I like Calms Forte. I saw that Walmart even had this. Most vitamins places carries it. It's a wonderful soother for the nerves. Double the dose and it aides in sleep. But it does not make me drowsy during the day! Like when I've yelled at the dogs or something rouses my nerves, this greatly helps to calm me before having an anxiety attack.
