Guest guest
Hi, I am new to this list. I was diagnosed in July and have learned a great deal since then. Sherry, you might want to look at the Four Corners Diet. It's working for me. I've lost 25 lbs since diagnosis, and I am about your size. The diet is healthy and there are special sections in it for the diabetic. By the way, I have Maltese, too! I enjoyed seeing your pictures, Re: Losing weight - Sherry Well... I was 130 lbs 5 years ago. I'm now at 241. I take med for high BP, I actually take 2 meds for HP. I tried weight watchers, but it just wasn't for me and I only lost a couple of pounds. I can't drink as much water as every one says too, because I have a neurogenic bladder. That's a whole other story. :-) Sherry and The Snow Angels Biscuit, Peppy, Piper, Abby and Sugar http://www.picturetrail.com/gabluebird ----- Original Message ----- From: ERWachter@... In a Hi Sherry, I gained 48 lbs in less than 2 months about 10 yrs ago. I had started losing that weight when I was diagnosed with diabetes. Once I decided I wanted off meds, I put more emphasis on exercise and eating small portions. My weight goal has been where I want it since 2001. I have been off meds for both diabetes and blood pressure since 2001. You can lose the weight. It won't happen overnight and it won't be easy, but it can be done. Just take it one day at a time. Walking is one of the best ways to exercise, or at least it is for me. hugs Eunice
