where to get fitted: doctor's office or Cranial Technologies?

Our physiatrist (MD) is referring us to a doctor (not sure what kind -

will find out tomorrow) to fit our 5 mo daughter with a band. We are

in NYC and could go to Cranial Technologies but we're not sure whether

to go to a doctor and have it fit in his office or go to CT. What

would you do?

If Cranial Tech is an easy option for you then I would probably go to

them. We have a DOC band and are very happy with them (in Phoenix).

Of course other bands can be just as good but all they do at Cranial

Tech is banding. I just think that it is a sure thing with them, that

all will go well. You could always keep the go to the DR. they send

you too to talk to him. Then go to CT and have the free eval. Surely

after that you will know in your heart, what is best. Just keep in

mind timing. If you have already decided to band then I wouldn't

waste any time. My ds got his band at 6 months and although still

very young 5 months would have been better. Best of luck to you.

Are you sure the dr isn't for the rx for the band? You need to have

a dr write a rx to get a doc band (or any band/helmet). I would go

to CT. They have a lot of experience. We went to the Charlotte

office. I have also been to their corporate office (and

manufacturing site) in AZ. They are very knowledgeable. I was

impressed and I'm an engineer with a manufacturing and statistics

background.
