Guest guest
Tonight, we have a special guest expert joining us in the Mitochondrial Chat at the MDA site thus we will be using the following chat format. Please read the instructions and copy them if necessary. As you enter the room, you will be given a number which will be openly given on the chat site. That number is sequential thus in the order you entered. When your number comes up, you may ask one question and only one question will be open for the doctor at a time. When he has completed answering the question the next person in the sequential order will be allowed to post their question. You will be notified by private message when it is your turn to ask your question just prior to the time to post it. You might find it helpful to have pre-posted the question in preparation for entering but be very careful not to hit the send key until you have been given clearance to do so. Please post your question in ALL CAPS as this will help Dr. Cohen recognize each new question. In this case - it will not be considered shouting. When our guest has completed answering the question he will post a " ? " to let us know that he is ready for the next question to be sent. Please reserve this chat for questions to be asked of our guest only. It is a very special gift of time and expertise that the guest is offering us and we should remember to treat our guest with respect. If you wish to chat with someone in the room, please go to the private chat and communicate. Anyone who violates the instructions will receive a warning. If a second warning is necessary, the person will lose their privilege to be in the chat and will be removed. We hope that we don't find it necessary to do this. The chat transcript will be available on the MDA website as soon as it has been edited by Dr. Cohen and the MDA Chat Administrator. Sometimes this takes a considerable amount of time as these individuals are very busy. We ask for your patience while this is being prepared. We are very happy you have joined us tonight and hope you enjoy this special chat session. We also express our gratitude in advance to Dr. Cohen for being with us tonight. Tonight our guest is Dr Bruce Cohen. Dr. Cohen is a member of the Department of Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where he has been on staff since 1989. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine Bronx, NY. His pediatric residency was at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia -- and he completed a second residency in neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Campus, NYC. He returned to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for a Pediatric Neuro-Oncology fellowship.
